How to use Contend™
1. Expand the Flex Collar
This guide shortly explains how to use Contend™ - always check the ‘Instructions for Use’ leaflet as well.
When you’re ready to fit the protective cover, angle your penis upwards.
To make sure your penis can comfortably be fitted with the protective cover, it’s important to open the Flex Collar as wide as possible.
Place 3-to-4 fingers inside the Flex Collar, then open them out as much as possible – don’t worry, the Flex Collar’s material won’t rip.
2. Seal the Flex Collar around the base of your penis
To keep the protective cover in place, pass your penis through the widened Flex Collar as far as possible. Then let go of the Flex Collar, so that it seals around the base of your penis.
Make sure your penis is positioned correctly inside Contend™, so that it’s in front of the cover’s absorbent pad.
3. Remove the release liner
Remove the release liner on the upper flap of the protective cover’s front opening.
4. Close the cover’s front opening securely
To prevent leaks, it’s important that the protective cover’s front opening is sealed tightly.
To do this, make sure both flaps are straightened, for the flattest possible sealing surface. Then, fold the upper flap over the lower flap, and press firmly to seal tightly.
Note, the turquoise part of the upper flap doesn’t have any glue applied to it, so it should overlap the lower flap by approximately 0.5 centimeters.
5. Urinate while standing, without removing Contend™
To urinate through the protective cover’s front opening, simply separate the upper and lower flaps, lifting the upper flap as much as possible. Then, fold it up and over towards your body, being sure it doesn’t stick to your clothes or skin.
Lift your penis out through the front opening as far as possible, being careful to protect the cover from any splashes when urinating.
Likewise, when lifting the penis back into the cover, take care to prevent any urine from dripping onto it.
If using toilet paper, also take care that this doesn’t get stuck to the upper flap.
